Privacy Practices Related to Participant Data

VCounselors values its participants’ personal information. This policy will help you understand how we collect and use personal information for marketing purposes and clinical study enrollment.

What information is collected?

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, personal information is considered to be “any information that can be used to uniquely identify you or that can be reasonably linked, directly or indirectly, with you.” The general pieces of personal information we collect about you include: name, email, phone number, date of birth.

How is the Personal Information Used?

We collect information about participants for the sole purpose of enrollment in clinical trials. In addition, we may use the information for marketing purposes. The data we collect from you will be stored no longer than necessary.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

How do we leverage AI?

At VCounselors we may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools in limited ways to improve your experience—such as appointment reminders, scheduling assistance, and providing you helpful resources and communicating with you. These tools do not replace your therapist, make clinical decisions, or affect your treatment plan.

Your privacy and security are protected under HIPAA, and your health information is not shared outside our secure systems. Using AI features is optional—you may opt out at any time without any impact on your care.
